Admissions Policy
Any student is welcome to apply for admission to Saint Joachim School. All applicants will be assessed for school grade level readiness. Upon acceptance, parents must provide student Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate (if applicable), and Immunization Records. All admitted students must be up to date with immunizations. Students transferring from another school must provide copies of previous report cards.
Saint Joachim School uses California State law and Diocesan policy to determine the age for admitting children into the following grades:
- Preschool: 3 years old as of September 1st
- Transitional Kindergarten: 4 years old as of September 1st
- Kindergarten: 5 years old as of September 1st
- First Grade: 6 years old as of September 1st

Saint Joachim School does not discriminate on any basis. Therefore, no qualified student will be denied admission to this school or the participation in any school-sponsored program or activity, on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, disability, age, ethnic or national origin.

Tuition and other incidental payments are made through FACTS.
Fundraising: $500 fundraised
Each family is obligated to complete their fundraising obligation for the school. The portion of the commitment not met will be due via FACTS.
Service Hours: 20 hours
Service at the school is required on an annual basis. Hours not served for this commitment will be charged at a rate $20/hour.
Parent Expectations
We are partners in the education and formation of your children. In this capacity we ask that parents be engaged in the following ways:
- Support the school policies and philosophies
- Contribute positively to the school community
- Maintain open and positive communication with teachers and staff
- Foster sound study habits at home
Participate in school events and activities - Fulfill all financial obligations
Meeting financial obligations carries with it your commitment to:
- Keep tuition payments current
- Complete parent service hours (20) or pay the fee of $400
- Fundraise for the school so the profit is $500 or pay the $500 fee
