What: Sea King Turkey Trot – Student athletes will be encouraged to run up to 35 laps to raise funds for classroom library sets to support our new literature curriculum.
When: Friday, November 19th
Times: 10:00am Opening Ceremony & Blessing by Fr. Steve
10:20am* TK-3rd Graders Run (TK & K will run a condensed lap)
11:00am* 4th-8th Graders Run
12:00pm* Student Pizza & Popsicle Party
*Times are approximate. All students will be out on the field to support and cheer on their schoolmates for the entire event!!
Where: St. Joachim Field
Needed: About 20 parent volunteers to help mark runners laps and anything else we need! Volunteers will be needed from 9:30-1:30 and can earn up to 4 volunteer hours. If you’re interested in volunteering, please email Melanie Cornejo at firstname.lastname@example.org or text 949-793-3400.

*All pledges earned by your student athletes go 100% toward your fundraising credit, so get the word out!!
*Your child should come to school Friday dressed in their PE uniforms and comfortable running/athletic shoes. They will receive their Turkey Trot t-shirts from their teachers that morning and will be changing into these for the run.
*Please make sure your child gets a good night of sleep on Thursday, has a nutritious breakfast Friday morning, hydrates early, and brings healthy snacks to fuel themselves for the event.
*All students need to bring their own reusable, full water bottles out to the field.*Parents, friends and family are all invited and encouraged to come cheer on their student athletes. Visitors must sign in at the front desk before coming on campus!!
* Following the event, students will be given pizza and popsicles. Unfortunately, given the amount of students we will be feeding, we cannot accommodate special diets on this day. Please send your child with any additional sides they would like to accompany their pizza lunch, or an alternative lunch if they want. Choicelunch will still be available!!
